Are you our ideal customer? Great Customers are those with the right attitude, beliefs and values! They are always a delight to do work for and cause me very little grief. Dealing with these people and seeing them on a regular basis is something that we look forward to. Often it can take a little while for the contractor/client relationship to develop. And we are regularly dealing with clients who have had bad experiences with other tradesmen and service centres. But on the other hand, we have found ourselves dealing with very difficult customers. They are rude, demanding and very disrespectful. On that basis, it’s not unrealistic for us to consider if a person we are cleaning and detailing a vehicle for is our ideal customer. And it doesn’t take very long to work that out!
In a nutshell, our ideal customer will exhibit the following attributes:
- They are enthusiastic about having their car detailed
- They commit to either fortnightly or 4 weekly appointments
- They generally always keep their appointment
- They let me know if their appointment needs changing
- They think abundantly
- They appreciate my punctuality and reliability
- They value my attitude and work ethic
- They are trusting of me and my advice
- They understand and appreciate the long term benefits associated to caring for their vehicle
- They are always happy to refer me to others
The old saying goes that “the customer always right?” Experience has proven that this definitely isn’t always the case. It’s a “two way street”! If we are fulfilling what a customer expects in service, reliability and work ethic etc., then is it wrong for us to expect courtesy, reliability, thoughtfulness and appreciation. At Mango Kar Dynamix, we don’t need hundreds of customers…just simply the right ones!
